Help keep Sill free.

Sill is built by one developer. A one-time contribution pays for the time behind new features and fixes. It's optional and doesn't unlock anything.

Install

Four steps, about two minutes.

  1. Open the download. Safari usually unzips it for you; otherwise double-click Sill.zip.
  2. Drag Sill into your Applications folder, then open it from there.
  3. Approve it once. macOS says “Apple could not verify ‘Sill’ is free of malware.” Click Done, open System Settings → Privacy & Security, and click Open Anyway.
  4. Allow Accessibility and Screen Recording in the setup window. Quit and reopen Sill once afterwards.

That warning appears because Sill isn't notarized by Apple yet. It only shows the first time; updates are signed, checked, and installed without it. The disk image asks for approval twice (for the image, then the app), so the ZIP is the quicker option.

Updates

New versions find you.

Sill checks for updates every day. When one is ready, the launcher button gets a blue dot, and its right-click menu offers to install it. Nothing installs until you say so.

To check now: right-click the launcher button → Check for Updates…

Uninstall

Your Dock comes back.

Right-click the launcher button and choose Quit Sill. The Dock returns with your settings. Then drag Sill from Applications to the Trash.

If the Dock stays hidden (for example, Sill was deleted while it was running), paste this into Terminal:

defaults delete com.apple.dock autohide-delay; defaults write com.apple.dock autohide -bool false; killall Dock
